“Create Enabling Environment for the Blind”- GAB

The Youth Wing of the Ghana Association of the Blind (GAB) has appealed to the government to support the blind. Mr. Jacob Adongo, the president of the youth wing of GAB leader said the lack of educational opportunities for blind persons makes it difficult for the blind to access job opportunities.

Mr. Adongo also appealed to the Department of Social Welfare to help create better conditions for the Disabled. He urged government to provide technological devices that will aid the blind to work independently. He also urged the media to help educate the general public on the Disability Act 715.
