GTV RE-INTRODUCES SIGN LANGUAGE IN NEWS BROADCAST

Ghana’s Premier Television Network-GTV has re-introduced news presentation with sign language interpretation.

This enables the deaf and hard of hearing who are literate in sign language to capture both national and global news from the network. Ghana National Association of the Deaf (GNAD) has commended GTV for the initiative.

GNAD has also appealed to GBC to make sign language interpretation available for other programs including the late edition of the news.

The Association is also encouraging deaf students and their teachers to watch the news program.
