Entrepreneurs with Disability call for Government support
Mr. Paul Osei a blind dealer of wood products in Koforidua, Eastern Region has appealed to the government to assist the physically- challenged in the country. “I want the new government to seek the welfare of the physically- challenged in the society”, said Mr. Osei.
Mr. Osei identified funding as a problem and he said money that previous government gave to the physically- challenged to start business was too small. The 69 year-old blind man who has been in business for 25 years also advised the youth to take education seriously.
In a related development, Wofa yaw a 32 year old physically- challenged cane weaver from the Western Region has appealed to the government and the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) to support skilled persons with disability to develop their business.
