Who We Are
Our vision is “an inclusive society for all persons with disabilities in Ghana”, and the mission is “to advocate the rights of Persons with Disability by influencing policies, programmes and activities at the national and local levels and to strengthen the organisations of Persons with Disabilities”.
We have made available advocacy materials, position papers, reports as well as publications. Also in our library section, you will find a lot of information you need to know about us.
The Ghana Federation of Disability Organizations (GFD)
Previously known as the Ghana Federation of the Disabled (GFD) represents over 3 million persons with disabilities in Ghana. It is a civil society organisation which brings together the key organisations of persons with disabilities in Ghana.
GFD champions engagements towards assuring the rights of persons with disabilities to access education, employment, health, economic welfare, recreation, the built environment, justice, information and governance.
We work with our partners to advocate for a legislative regime which is sensitive to all persons with disabilities in Ghana and beyond
